TORONTO - Toronto soccer fans hoping to see David Beckam may have to wait a little bit longer.

The England star midfielder likely won't be in the lineup when his Los Angeles Galaxy are in town May 31 to play Toronto FC in a Major League Soccer match. Beckham was named to the England side Sunday for a pair of international friendlies May 28 against the United States at London's Wembley Stadium, and June 1 at Trinidad and Tobago.

An injury kept Beckham out of the game when L.A. visited Toronto last season.

The midfielder could play in Toronto on July 24, when BMO Field plays host to this year's MLS all-star game.

Beckham is in Edmonton this week where the Galaxy were scheduled to play the Vancouver Whitecaps in a friendly Tuesday at Commonwealth Stadium.

England coach Fabio Capello also named Calgary midfielder Owen Hargreaves to his roster for the two upcoming exhibition matches.
