BOSTON -- The Toronto Blue Jays have lost another pitcher to injury.

Reliever Jason Frasor has been put on the 15-day disabled list with tightness in his right forearm.

The move is retroactive to July 17.

Frasor has appeared in 497 games with the Blue Jays, and is 1-1 with a 4.00 earned-run average with 45 strikeouts in 36 innings this season.

Frasor's injury kept Toronto from designating reliever Drew Carpenter to triple-A Las Vegas after he was acquired in a 10-player trade from Houston on Friday.

The 34-year-old right hander is the eighth pitcher Toronto has lost to injury this season.

Toronto also lost star slugger Jose Bautista to a wrist injury Monday, and third baseman Brett Lawrie is day-to-day after bruising his calf Wednesday.
