A woman in her 20s who was injured in an industrial accident at a factory near Wilson Avenue and Clayson Road on Friday has died in hospital, police confirm.
It happened at a factory on Marmora Street near the intersection of Wilson Avenue and Clayson Road shortly after 5 p.m.
Paramedics previously said that the woman was working with a piece of machinery when she suffered life-threatening injuries related to asphyxiation.
Police confirmed the woman’s death on Saturday morning, though it is not immediately clear when she was pronounced dead.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
