A man was taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a construction zone on Highway 401 on Sunday.
The incident occurred around midnight when a vehicle was going westbound in a Highway 401 collectors lane.
As the vehicle approached the Don Valley Parkway and Highway 404 exit, police said, it barreled through a construction gate and drove about 300 metres before crashing.
Toronto police and paramedics arrived on scene and one person was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
