TORONTO - Police have charged a Toronto woman with allegedly running a brothel where they say teenage girls performed sex acts.

York region police say several girls between the ages of 13 and 17 were prostituted at an apartment in Toronto's downtown core.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the apartment and at a second residence on Jan. 8, and took a female suspect into custody.

Forty-four-year-old Dong Zheng is charged with four counts of living on the avails of a juvenile prostitute, living on the avails of prostitution, possession of property obtained by crime and keeping a common bawdy house.

She is scheduled to appear at a court in Newmarket, Ont., next Monday.

Police are looking for a second man, 55-year-old Si Yen, who is wanted in connection with the case.
