Two men and one woman are facing 15 charges in connection with a human trafficking investigation in Toronto.

Police allege an 18-year-old woman was recruited and forced into the sex trade by a man in September 2016. Around this time, investigators said they believe another man and a woman became involved and helped force the victim into the sex trade.

The victim was taken to various Toronto hotels, according to investigators, and photos of her in certain degrees of undress were taken and posted on an advertising site for sexual services.

The men controlled the victim by threatening her, investigators said.

She was finally able to escape and contacted police.

Officers arrested three Toronto residents on Nov. 17. Suspects identified as Chibuike Nwagwu, 31, Jocelyn Martinez, 18, and Justin Ferguson, 25, are now facing 15 charges related to human trafficking.

Police are concerned there may be other victims and said they want to encourage anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-7474.
