Durham Regional Police have charged two men following last Friday's search of a suspected meth lab in Pickering.

Courtney Doerle, 19, was charged with producing crystal methamphetamine and possession for use.

Eric Charbonneau, 34, was charged with producing crystal meth, possession for use and breach of recognizance. Both men are being held in police custody until their bail hearings.

The announcement came just days after members of Durham Regional Police and the RCMP executed a search warrant at 925 Bayly Street in Pickering.

Two suspects were arrested on Friday, and police said they seized chemicals and dangerous goods used in the production of meth from the townhouse.

Police said the seizure included highly flammable chemicals that are extremely dangerous if inhaled, and can be explosive during the meth production process.

Sgt. Brent Hill of the RCMP confirmed to CTV Toronto that the home was being used as a meth lab, and said police received information from the public that helped lead to the search warrant.

Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call Durham's Gun and Gang Unit at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 5869.
