  • Mayor John Tory and Deputy Mayor Pam McConnell are expected to make an announcement about the city’s poverty reduction strategy this morning at 11:30AM.
  • Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired at a vehicle on Armel Court in Rexdale early this morning. A male passenger sustained a gunshot wound to the foot and was transported to hospital.
  • The threat of possible job action by Canada Post workers has been delayed for 24 hours at the request of a federally appointed mediator.

WEATHER WATCH:

Sunny skies for your Monday morning will become a mix of sun and cloud by this afternoon. A high of 29 degrees is expected, feeling like 34 degrees with the humidity.

TRAFFIC WOES:

  • All lanes have now reopened on the Eastbound QEW approaching Brant Street following an overnight collision and fuel spill clean-up.
  • Northbound and Southbound curb lanes on Kennedy Road from Ellesmere Road to Eglinton Avenue East will be occupied today due to road repair.

  • Ryerson University kicks off the Blue and Gold Games in the The Quad at 4:30PM as two weeks of orientation activities for students begin.
