Police have made an arrest in connection with the murder of a Mississauga man in 2013.

Mario Barnes, 23, was found when police responded to a 911 call on Aug. 17, 2013, at approximately 4:15 a.m.

Barnes was found in a basement apartment on Lancaster Avenue, near Morning Star Drive, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

On Tuesday, police arrested Adrian South, 24, from Mississauga. He was charged with first degree murder.
