HAMILTON, Ont. -- A suspect has been arrested following Hamilton's sixth homicide of the year.

Police were called Thursday afternoon and found a man on the street (at Blake and Maplewood) bleeding heavily from the neck.

He later died in hospital and police determined he'd been involved in an altercation in an area home, which remains taped off for the police investigation.

Shortly before midnight, a man turned himself in at Hamilton's central police station and he will be appear in court to be formally charged with second degree murder.

His name will be released once he is appears in court.

Police say the victim has yet to be identified.
