KINGSTON, Jamaica – The 19-year-old man charged in the death of a Toronto boy in Jamaica is the victim’s cousin, police say.

The Jamaica Constabulary Force has charged Omar James -- also known as “Judge” -- in the murder of 14-year-old Ricardo Williams.

They say they laid the charge following an interview Tuesday with James after he turned himself in.

Police say Williams was shot several times early Sunday morning at a wake in Kingston. He later died in hospital.

Williams was visiting family in Jamaica at the time of his death.
