Police have released security camera video after syringes were found tied to doors at Toronto City Hall.

Security staff found the syringes at Nathan Phillips Square on Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, police said Tuesday.

The syringes were found on the front doors of City Hall. Two syringes were attached with blue ribbons each time, police said.

The syringes have since been removed, and no injuries have been reported. Police are investigating whether the needles had been used before being attached to the doors.

The suspect has been described as a white man with dark hair worn in a ponytail. He was wearing dark pants with writing on them and a red stripe down the side, officers said. He was also wearing a backpack.

Police released security camera footage captured Oct. 25, which shows a man standing in front of the doorway. He is seen standing in front of the doors, moving his arms, but his specific actions cannot be seen in the blurry footage. The man is then seen walking away from the scene.

Investigators ask anyone who recognizes the suspect or has more information to contact investigators at 416-808-5200.
