VAUGHAN, Ont. - York Regional police are warning consumers to be cautious about purchasing online tickets to a popular theme park north of Toronto after fraudulent ones appeared last season.

Police say Canada's Wonderland security wants to protect consumers as the season starts, following several scams last year.

Police say the concern stems from last May, when a victim responded to an ad for tickets for sale on a website.

The suspect had purchased the passes with a stolen credit card and later accepted cash for the passes, presenting the victim with an e-ticket.

A 21-year-old man was arrested in October of 2009 and is facing numerous fraud-related charges.

Investigators believe there are other suspects and potential victims.
