Someone in Toronto is the lucky ticket holder in Friday's $21.4 million Lotto Max jackpot, the 14th winning jackpot in Ontario since that lottery was created in September 2009.

The winning ticket was purchased somewhere in the city, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. said in a release. It has not confirmed which neighbourhood or specific store it was sold in.

Another $1 million Lotto Max Encore ticket was purchased in Barrie, Ont.

The last winning Lotto Max ticket was purchased by Richmond Hill, Ont. resident Vivian Leung. She took home a $22.5 million prize on June 23.

A manager at a store selling hair products, Leung said she had to run her ticket through a ticket reader twice before she would believe her luck.

"It was hard to keep calm. It's not real to me yet, I didn't really believe it. So I went back to work," she told reporters at OLG headquarters after accepting her cheque in June.

Leung said she wanted to move her 84-year-old father to Toronto from Edmonton and buy him an apartment.

The maximum Lotto Max prize allowed to be paid out is $50 million.
