Police are looking for two persons of interest after a man was stabbed 17 times in the head and torso in a west-end home.

The aggravated assault happened Thursday evening in a home located in the Rogers Road and Earlsdale Avenue area around 6:25 p.m.

The victim was stabbed by a sharp object and then stumbled out onto the driveway where he was found.

He was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are looking for two men connected to the assault.

The first man is described as a Hispanic man wearing a a blue-on-blue striped T-shirt. He is thought to have tattoos covering his forearms with one tattoo reading "Laugh Now."

The second man is described as being black with a muscular build and was wearing a black-and-white bandanna with a black T-shirt.

Police believe the two men fled the scene in a blue van with tinted windows with a licence plate number resembling ANT 345.
