Two men are in hospital suffering from gunshot wounds following a shooting in Toronto's Rexdale neighbourhood.

The shooting was reported in the area of Finch Avenue West and Westmore Drive shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers said they were directed to the scene when a caller reported his father had been shot in the face through a window. The victim has not been identified, but police said he is a 54-year-old man.

Few details have been provided, but paramedics said a man was transferred to hospital with gunshot wounds. They said the injuries are not life threatening.

A 19-year-old was also injured by a bullet, police said. The younger man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
