Liberal leadership candidate Justin Trudeau will appear at a rally in the Toronto area on Thursday.

Trudeau’s rally at the Versailles Convention Centre in Mississauga Thursday evening will be his third stop since launching his leadership bid in Montreal on Tuesday.

The son of former prime minister Pierre Trudeau made appearances at rallies in Calgary and Richmond, B.C. on Wednesday.

During his trip to the West, Trudeau weighed in on a proposed pipeline between B.C. and Alberta, urging the two provinces to develop a better, more co-operative plan if they wanted it to proceed.

He said it was “wrong” to use natural resource riches to pit Canadians against one another, an apparent nod to the resentment Albertans feel over the national energy program briefly enacted by his father in the 1980s.
