Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with an early-morning sexual assault that occurred in North York last month.

Police say the victim was walking in the Yonge Street and Bishop Avenue area when she was approached from behind and sexually assaulted shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 29.

The suspect fled heading north on Yonge Street following the assault, police say.

On Monday, police released a composite sketch of a suspect.

He is described as a white male, 25 to 35 years old, approximately six feet tall, with a skinny build and clean shaven.

He was last seen wearing a black toque, a black jacket with a hood and black pants.
