TORONTO - The warm temperatures this week and into the Thanksgiving weekend come with a smog warning.

The advisory covers the area from Sarnia and Windsor, to Simcoe and Delhi, east to Hamilton and the Niagara Region, Toronto and York region.

Polluted warm air from the U.S. and a local pollutants are contributing to elevated smog levels across the region.

Officials suggest limiting use of vehicles and other gas-powered devices, and avoiding strenuous exercise during the warmest part of the day.

Sunshine and record high temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius are forecast.
