Toronto police have released a series of security camera photos of potential witnesses to a west-end attack last month.

At a news conference Thursday morning, police said that seven people in the photos may have witnessed a deadly beating on Bloor Street West, just west of Ossington Avenue, on Aug. 30.

Jorge Interiano, 40, was found by police shortly after 2:30 a.m. at Bloor Street and Concord Avenue. Interiano was out celebrating his birthday when he was severely beaten, police said.

He was found without vital signs, and was pronounced dead in hospital.

At the time, police said they were looking for two male suspects believed to be in their late teens or early 20s. The men were seen fleeing on foot at the time of the beating.

Though some witnesses came forward, officials said that the security camera images suggested that there may be additional witnesses.

"These individuals may have witnessed all or a portion of the interaction that the suspects had with Mr. Interiano and perhaps they were unaware of the seriousness of the incident," Det. Shannon Dawson told reporters Thursday.

The faces of the potential witnesses have been obscured to protect their identity, but Dawson said she hopes they'll recognize themselves and come forward voluntarily.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-7400, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
