Toronto police say a 17-year-old male is Toronto's latest homicide victim.

The city's 53rd murder occurred Friday night at Buttonwood Park, which is located in Etobicoke south of Eglinton Avenue and east of Royal York Road.

Police attended and found Boris Cikovic of Toronto.

Witnesses reportedly heard an argument followed by shots around 10:30 p.m. Paramedics took the victim to Sunnybrook hospital, but Cikovic died there.

A post-mortem examine on Cikovic's body has been scheduled for Sunday

Stabbings

Police are also investigating two stabbing incidents.

One occurred at Islington and Rexdale Boulevard, growing out of an argument at a donut shop over cigarettes.

The victim suffered wounds to his stomach and the side of his head.

Police are reviewing security camera footage of the incident.

On Friday, a 16-year-old boy suffered nine stab wounds in an incident at Yonge and Gould Streets downtown.
