One person is in custody in connection with a suspicious death in Richmond Hill, York Regional Police say.
Emergency crews were called to the Bayview Avenue and Highway 7 area shortly before 12 p.m. on Friday, after receiving information about an injured person at a home.
Police say they located a deceased victim when they arrived.
According to police, a family member who was in the home when they arrived has been arrested in connection with the death.
Police say the victim and the person arrested are known to each other, and this was not a random act.
