Police are investigating after a 59-year-old man was found unconscious in the city’s east end on Thursday night.
Officers were called to a residential neighbourhood near Lawrence Avenue and Rouge Hills Drive in Scarborough at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Police found a severely injured man lying face-down in the middle of the road on Milldock Drive.
The man was found without vital signs, but paramedics were able to revive him. He was then rushed to a hospital.
Police say they do not yet know what caused the man’s injuries, but say that they are not consistent with a fall. Investigators have also identified possible evidence found near the scene.
The victim, police said, lives in the area.
Police are asking anyone with information – including area residents with surveillance cameras – to contact them.
