Toronto police have released the name of a suspect wanted in connection with a sex assault on a teenaged girl last week.

Police say the 13-year-old girl was assaulted while walking through Scarborough's Knob Hill Park on the afternoon of Nov. 3.

She had been walking along a path leading from Brimley Road to some apartments on Danforth Road.

Police say a man approached her and engaged her in conversation. When the two approached a secluded area, he allegedly sexually assaulted the girl.

Devon Steven Simpson, 32, of Toronto, is wanted in connection with the investigation, police said on Thursday.

He is described as black, 5'6", 160 lbs., with short, brown hair and brown eyes.
