Peel police have arrested a suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a female minor in Mississauga's Square One area on Dec. 9.

Police called it a "stranger sex assault" and said there could be more people "victimized" by the suspect.

The suspect allegedly approached the victim and made advances towards her by "kissing and touching her inappropriately," police said.

The victim, police said, managed to get away without any physical injuries.

Johnathan Watson, also known as Justine Watson, was identified on Dec. 16 by the police. He was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault and two counts of failure to comply with probation orders.

Watson, 29, of no fixed address, had two previous charges of sexual assault at the time of the arrest, police said.

He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing in a court in Brampton.

Police believe there could be more victims and are asking anyone with information regarding the case to contact the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau by calling (905) 453-2121 ext. 1133 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
