Toy Mountain 2021

2021 marks the 26th anniversary of the CTV Toy Mountain Campaign benefiting The Salvation Army.  And every year, we invite businesses, schools, organizations, community groups and CTV viewers to become partners – to collect toys –  and to help build Toy Mountain.  This year we have been presented with the challenges of the pandemic, but we still need your help to bring smiles to children’s faces on Christmas morning.

Please send us your photos and videos for a chance to have them appear on-air on CTV News at Six. We will also display photos and videos we receive on our social media platforms to thank-you for your support. You can email us at

You can also find us on Facebook (@ToyMountainTO), Instagram (@ctvtoymountain) and Twitter (@ToyMountain).

It’s so easy to make a difference! Online donations will be a focus for the campaign this holiday season to help ensure everyone’s safety. You may also donate a new, unwrapped toy to a Toy Mountain bin at your local mall or other participating locations.

We are grateful for all toys that are donated, but please do not forget the tweens, teens and babies.  We often fall short on gifts for these age groups so please consider these children when selecting a toy to donate.  Here are some ideas of appropriate items for tweens and teens.

Tweens and teens (10 and up):  curling irons, digital music players, hair dryers, hair kits, makeup kits, jewelry, electronics, books, hoodies, sporting goods, backpacks, school supplies, board games, scarves, gloves and gift cards.

Text to donate:
  • Text TOYS to 30333 to donate $25 to Toy Mountain in support of The Salvation Army
  • When a donor texts TOYS to 30333, they will get a message back asking how much they want to give.
  • You will receive the following message: To complete your donation to Salvation Army, reply with the amount you want to give: The $25 donation is charged to your phone bill.
  • Donor responds with the amount they want to give.
  • You will receive two auto responses asking if you would like a receipt and thanking you for your support.
