A 24-year-old man is dead after a collision in Richmond Hill Monday morning.
The victim's small car crashed into a dump truck just before 7 a.m. on Bloomington Road near Yonge Street.
The westbound car, described as a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer, crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the truck, police say.
The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old Toronto man, is expected to recover from his injuries. He is being treated in hospital.
Bloomington Road between Yonge Street and Bayview Avenue was closed for most of the day while investigators reconstructed the accident scene.
Though the road has since reopened, York Region police are investigating the crash and are seeking witnesses.
