The struggling Toronto Maple Leafs made a few roster moves Friday as they try to shake things up to break out of their current slump.
Forward Nazem Kadri and defenceman Keith Aulie were recalled from the Toronto Marlies while forward Christian Hanson and defenceman Korbinian Holzer were assigned to the American Hockey League team.
Kadri, the Leafs' first-round pick (seventh overall) in last year's NHL entry draft, leads the Marlies with 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 14 games.
The Maple Leafs (5-7-3) are tied for last in the Northeast Division with 13 points. Toronto is winless in 10 of its last 11 games and is just 3-for-40 on the power play over the last 10 games.
Aulie, who was acquired from Calgary in the blockbuster Dion Phaneuf trade last January, played for the Marlies and Abbotsford Heat last season.
He has four points (1-3) and 25 penalty minutes in 14 games for the Marlies this season.
