Toronto could see record-breaking temperatures today as a late blast of fall heat hits the GTA.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 27 C in Toronto but it will feel closer to 32 with humidity.

The temperature record for Oct. 18 is 26.7 C and it was set in 1963.

Be sure to keep an umbrella handy this afternoon.

The national weather agency says there is a 60 per cent chance of showers later this afternoon and early this evening.

The warmer weather will continue Wednesday, with Environment Canada calling for sunny skies and a high of 21 C.

More seasonable temperatures will return to the city on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s forecast will bring a high of 13 C and a 70 per cent chance of rain while Friday will see a high of 12 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers.
