Impaired driving is believed to be a factor in an early morning collision between a car and a TTC bus in the city’s east end, say Toronto police.

The crash happened in the north Riverdale area on Danforth Avenue, just west of Broadview Avenue.

Police said they were called to that area at 5:55 a.m. and that the driver of the car was arrested for impaired driving.

A media officer told CP24.com that they don’t have any update on charges at this time, as the collision is still under investigation.

Paramedics, meanwhile, said they were called to that area just before 6 a.m. for a traffic collision between a vehicle and a bus.

They told CP24 that they transported two patients to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police also confirmed that two people were taken to the hospital, adding that they were the driver and passenger in the car. They described their injuries as “non-life-threatening.”
