Several homes were evacuated Monday morning after a fire broke out at a home in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

York Regional Police say they were called to a home on Wilf Morden Road, near Ninth Line and Reeves Way Boulevard, at around 9:20 a.m. for reports of a fire.

By the time crews arrived a short time later, the home was fully engulfed and flames were visible.

Police said all occupants of the home got out safety.

Nearby residences were also evacuated as a precaution.

Police have closed all north and southbound traffic on Wilf Morden Road as crews tend to the scene.
