TECUMSEH, Ont. - Police are still hunting for a suspect after a man was killed and his teen daughter left in critical condition in a hit-and-run crash near Tecumseh.
Provincial police are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash Friday evening on Highway 3 that killed Gary Laporte, 49, of Kingsville, Ont., and badly injured his 18-year-old daughter.
Two other people in a second car involved in the crash have been released from hospital.
Police say the suspect's vehicle rear-ended a car, forcing it into oncoming traffic, where it smashed head on into Laporte's car, demolishing both vehicles.
Police are looking for a white or cream-coloured van or SUV with damage ot its left front corner and fender.
They are urging anyone with information to come forward and for the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle.
