A large pane of glass has fallen from the top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Toronto.

Police say a 4-metre window from the penthouse of the five-star hotel, near Bay Street and Yorkville Avenue, fell Monday afternoon and another piece of glass could fall.

No one was injured in the incident and no other damages were incurred.

Police say engineers for the Four Seasons are working on the second piece of glass.

A statement from the hotel says the glass fell from the building's west tower onto its private driveway.

Authorities have closed Yorkville Avenue between Yonge and Bay Streets.

The Four Seasons says it is "working diligently" with its engineering inspectors to determine the cause of the incident.
