Another blast of winter is heading towards the GTA just as residents finished thawing out of the last snowstorm.
Environment Canada issued a winter storm watch for Tuesday night and Wednesday in Toronto.
The storm warning came as Torontonians enjoyed a balmy 8 C Tuesday afternoon.
The warm temperatures that have settled over the city in the past few days will mix with colder air coming in from northern Ontario, producing a mixture of freezing rain, snow and ice pellets.
The storm will move from southwestern Ontario over the Toronto area and just north of Lake Ontario by dawn, according to Environment Canada.
The government agency predicted about 15 centimetres of snow would likely fall in many areas before the storm tapers off late Wednesday.
"It's Canada, it's crazy but it's nice so we accept it," one man told CTV Toronto while enjoying the nice weather by taking a stroll on the beach with his wife.
"I think it's called global warming," said another woman, who was also hanging out at the beach, with a smile.
Motorists are warned to drive with caution overnight Tuesday and Wednesday and to give themselves plenty of time to arrive to their destinations as road conditions are expected to be treacherous.
Last Friday, the GTA was hit with a winter storm that left more than 15 centimetres of snow in some areas. School buses across the province were cancelled and emergency crews responded to hundreds of stranded motorists.
