SEATTLE - The Toronto Blue Jays placed Jon Rauch on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday after the right-handed reliever underwent an appendectomy in Seattle.

The Blue Jays also designated left-hander Trever Miller for assignment and picked up the contracts of left-handers Wil Ledezma and Rommie Lewis from triple-A Las Vegas.

Rauch, has appeared in a team-high 51 games this season, posting a 5-4 record with 11 saves and a 4.47 earned-run average. Rauch was the losing pitcher Monday night as Seattle rallied for a 6-5 win over Toronto.

In two-thirds of an inning, Rauch gave up three hits and an earned run on Casper Wells' solo homer.

Miller, 38, made six relief appearances with Toronto after being acquired in an multi player trade with St. Louis on July 27. In that span, Miller posted an ERA of 4.91.

Ledezma, 30, will make his second appearance with Toronto this season. He appeared previously in two games with the Blue Jays, posting an ERA of 9.00 and has played in 36 games with Las Vegas, posting a 1-1 record with four saves and a 4.50 ERA.

Lewis, 28, as a 3-3 record with four saves over 42 appearances with Las Vegas. He also has an ERA of 6.60.
