TORONTO - The Toronto Blue Jays have parted ways with left-handed pitcher Jamie Moyer.
The 49-year-old was signed to a minor-league contract and started twice at triple-A Las Vegas.
The agreement was that Moyer would make two starts for Las Vegas and then a decision would be made. He made his second start on Tuesday and gave up seven runs in six innings.
The Jays made the announcement Thursday.
Moyer was 1-1 with an earned-run average of 8.18 in two starts. He has 269 wins in a 25-year major-league career.
It's the third team Moyer was released from this season. The veteran also parted ways with both Baltimore and Colorado.
