Barrie Police on the lookout for runaway teen Brandon Crisp say they have received new information.

From information gleaned from a new witness, police determined the boy was walking further east along the Oro Medonte Trail than was originally thought. Police say the new information helps them place Brandon's direction as heading away from Barrie. The 15-year-old was spotted the evening of Thanksgiving on Oct 13.

Police found the witness after they stopped cars travelling through the area to ask drivers if they had seen the boy.

Crisp ran away from home after arguing with his parents of his incessant video game playing. His parents say he was addicted to online gaming.

They haven't seen or heard from him since he left home.

Family and friends gathered Monday night for a candlight vigil in Shanty Bay, just east of Barrie, on a sports field -- one of the last places Crisp was seen.

Police say that so far, investigators have received more than 1,000 tips. There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to his whereabouts.
