All lanes on Highway 401 were reopened this morning after an accident caused a tractor-trailer carrying beer to burst into flames.
Police closed off a section of the 401 near McCowan and Kennedy Roads Tuesday after the crash.
Winds blew dense smoke from the burning wreckage as fire crews struggled to put out the blaze.
Three people were injured, most seriously the driver who had to be pulled from the burning truck.
The vehicle, reportedly a Budweiser beer truck, crashed into at least two other cars and rolled over.
Police believe the truck was cut off around 9:30 p.m. by one or more cars while travelling in the west bound express lanes.
