1 person in hospital, suspect in police custody following stabbing in Fairbank
One person is in hospital, and a suspect is in custody following a stabbing in Toronto’s Fairbank neighbourhood on Saturday.
Toronto police say they received a call for a stabbing just before 5 p.m. in the area of Dufferin Street and Holmesdale Road, north of Rogers Road.
Toronto paramedics told CTV News Toronto they took one person to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
They added that a second person was assessed at the scene, and their injuries were determined to be very minor.
Meanwhile, police say a male suspect was taken into custody.
The circumstances surrounding the stabbing are not immediately known.
