Toronto police are searching for man after a woman was sexually assaulted in her own home.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. Friday in North York’s Deepwood Crescent and Greenland Road area.

Police allege a man unknown to the victim entered the woman's residence and sexually assaulted her. The man was disturbed by noises coming from outside the home and fled the scene.

The man is described as white, in his mid-20s, 5-foot-8, 130 pounds, with a thin build and straight, medium-length red hair.

The suspect was wearing a faded orange T-shirt torn around the neck, cut-off blue jean shorts with frayed edges and black running shoes with white writing.
