One person is in surgery and a second is in non-life-threatening condition at St. Michael’s Hospital after two people were stabbed in downtown Toronto on Sunday.

The incident happened at 220 Oak St., a Toronto Community Housing Corporation building in the Gerrard St. E. and River St. area.

Police Sgt. Dan Powell, of 51 Division, told CP24 that a male suspect was taken into custody on the 17th floor of the building, a small knife was recovered, and charges are pending.
