One driver and two pedestrians were injured after a collision in the Stockyards District Friday afternoon.

It happened near St. Clair Avenue and Weston Road just before 12:30 p.m.

Police said two pedestrians were injured after a vehicle that was involved in a collision struck them.

A third person – a male driver – was ejected from one of the vehicles as a result of the collision, police say.

According to police, he was conscious and breathing at the scene.

Paramedics said a male in his late 20s has been transported to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police have closed the southbound lanes of West Road and the westbound lanes of St. Clair Avenue for their investigation.

Old Weston Road to St. Clair Avenue and Birdstone Crescent to Weston Road was also closed.
