Three fighters sustained injuries battling a three-alarm fire in the city's west end Monday afternoon, according to Toronto Fire Services.
The call reporting the fire at a three-storey building on Dundas Street West, near Keele Street, came in shortly after 2:15 p.m., Toronto police Const. Tony Vella says.
At the height of the blaze, some 50 firefighters were at the scene, a representative with Toronto Fire Services says.
The fire was brought under control shortly after 3:30 p.m.
Three firefighters were taken to hospital - one with an ankle injury, the other two for what is believed to be heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
