Police are seeking the public’s help after dealing with roughly 70 incidents of damage to bus shelters and windows in Brampton.

A pellet or BB gun, sling shot or airsoft-style weapon were used to break the glass, Peel Regional Police said in a statement Tuesday.

There have been approximately 70 incidents of this type of mischief in the past two week, police said.

They say that bus shelters, residences – even schools -- experienced damage on Dec. 10.

Police in Caledon, just north of Brampton, have reported similar incidents, according to Peel’s statement.

Two vehicles may be involved, police say. One is a silver Dodge Journey with black rims and snow tires, which was observed on Sundridge Street on Dec. 10.

The second is an older model two-tone Suzuki Sidekick, Toyota RAV4 or a similar vehicle. The second vehicle was caught on a surveillance recording.

Peel police are asking anyone who may have information to call them at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233, or contact Peel Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.

Police released a map showing where the damage has occurred.
