OAKVILLE, Ont. -- Halton Police have charged an Oakville man in connection with three suspicious fires in the city.
The fires occurred over the past several weeks -- one at Lions Valley park, another at a playground at the Glen Abbey recreational centre, and the third in a barn at St Volodymyr's Church.
Alexandre Lemelin, 28 was arrested Friday and charged with three counts of arson.
He was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing.
The investigation into the fires is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
