Peel Regional Police are investigating a double stabbing at a Brampton home involving a man and a young boy.

Officers were called to the home on Purebrook Crescent, near Castlemore Road and The Gore Road, at about 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Once inside, investigators found two people with stab wounds, a 42-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy.

The child was stabbed several times in the head and neck, CTV Toronto's Chris Eby reported.

Police won't confirm the relationship of the victims, but reports said they are a father and son.

Const. Wayne Patterson told CTV.ca the victims remain in hospital in serious but stable condition.

Patterson said officers are not looking for a suspect and no charges have yet been laid.
