An 80-year-old man is dead after he was struck by an SUV Sunday evening in the northeast part of the city.
The elderly man was struck as he attempted to cross Sheppard Avenue East, heading south, shortly after 6 p.m.
He was hit by a 2015 Land Rover Evoque in the curb lane of Sheppard near Abbotsfield Gate, just west of Warden Avenue.
Toronto firefighters say that CPR was performed before he was pronounced dead.
Police have not said whether the 20-year-old driver was injured.
