GUELPH, Ont. - Police in Guelph, Ont., say an arrest has been made in a suspected case of human trafficking.

They say they began investigating over the weekend after receiving a complaint about human trafficking of an adult female.

Provincial police near the town of Petrolia arrested a 33-year-old Quebec man on Monday and returned him to Guelph police.

His name has not been released.

He is facing a number of charges, including trafficking in persons and uttering threats to cause death, and has been held in custody.
