Occupants of at least two townhouses have been displaced after a fire swept through part of a complex in Richmond Hill early Tuesday morning.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze that caused extensive damage to the townhouses in the 8600 block of Bayview Avenue, just north of Highway 7.
Emergency personnel were called to the scene at about 2:30 a.m.
A fire official said the blaze started in one of the townhouses and spread to a second one before it was extinguished.
Firefighters rescued at least two pets and all are fine, the fire official said.
No injuries were reported.
