The third suspect wanted in connection with a stabbing at a Toronto high school has turned himself in to police.

A 16-year-old suspect turned himself in Sunday night, and was charged with seven offences as a result of the investigation.

He cannot be identified because of his age, but police said he's been charged with assault, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, weapons dangerous, robbery and failure to comply with recognizance.

Two other suspects turned themselves in last week, and also face assault and robbery charges.

The stabbing occurred on the first day of school, Sept. 8, at Central Technical School.

Police said a 19-year-old was injured on the school property, located at 725 Bathurst St. just south of Bloor, during a confrontation with three males.

Det. Jessica McInnis said it appeared that the 19-year-old tried to intervene while the suspects attempted to rob two other males of their cellphones. The victim was then stabbed in the abdomen and the hand. He suffered a collapsed lung.

Police released security camera photos of three men believed to be involved, hoping to identify the men shown in the footage. They have since said that two of the suspects are minors, and cannot be identified. McInnis said the suspects were not students at the school.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information in the case is asked to contact police at 416-808-1404, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).
